A few months ago I accepted this job as lead teacher and faced it with strange feelings of hope and trepidation, all mixed together, trusting that all would be well. A few months ago I saw this rainbow as a promise. What I neglected to remember is this: a rainbow comes after the storm, when the clouds have broken and the sunlight shines through. Believe me, there have been clouds. And rain. And enormous thunder and lightning. I have weathered the storm. I have made my peace. Somewhat battered but also stronger, I'm quietly recognizing that rainbow's promise.
