Major finds at the thrift store last night. A Ramones t-shirt, a Modest Mouse t-shirt, and a Strokes t-shirt, each for a dollar. AND a pair of Chucks for $1.98. Kismet cozied up, hoping some of the coolness would rub off on her. But it's all for Jack, who is destined to be THE boy of summer dressed up in these duds.

It's been a long time since I hiked, alone or with friends. My bestie from childhood, Ana, has begun exploring trails around Tucson. Today I joined her for a 6 mile hike starting at the Richard Genser Starr Pass trailhead in Tucson Mountain Park. I plan to join her for as many Sunday mornings as I can manage. We've been friends since second grade. That's three decades plus. I'm totally rockin' the Brett Michaels vibe. Those must be Ana's favorite ratty shorts. She's had them forever.
