You think too much.Just immerse yourself in what you're doing and remember whatever you're doing at the moment is the right thing to be doing.One of the things I read over the past couple of "enlightening" years is that the Amish feel that every task is of equal importance. No chore is of lesser value than any other chore. Taking out the trash is as important as making an art work. Sometimes when I'm standing at the kitchen sink or wiping the counters one more time, I think of that. And just imagine how much better the world would run if everyone felt their tasks were of equal importance.
when I'm able to think that way, Mom, I'm amazed at the contentment. I'd love to maintain that attitude: "There is nothing more important than this moment." That's a tough struggle. When I get there, though, such peace and relief!
