Christmas Concert


This year's Christmas Concert combined all the kindergarten, first, and second grade classes in Jack's school. Too many kids on stage; too many parents in the audience. I sat on the floor in front of the first row of chairs. That's Jack at the very left edge of the picture.


Oh, my heart.


If Jack thought your attention should be directed at the performers, he'd certainly let you know with exaggerated hand gestures.


This is a song about Kwanzaa, with a funky thumb dance.


Nothing like Demon Jazz Hands.

It's been a long time since I hiked, alone or with friends. My bestie from childhood, Ana, has begun exploring trails around Tucson. Today I joined her for a 6 mile hike starting at the Richard Genser Starr Pass trailhead in Tucson Mountain Park. I plan to join her for as many Sunday mornings as I can manage. We've been friends since second grade. That's three decades plus. I'm totally rockin' the Brett Michaels vibe. Those must be Ana's favorite ratty shorts. She's had them forever.
